🎁 CHRISTMAS 🎁 HAMPER APPEAL
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The cost of living crisis is having a big impact on people’s lives.
This festive season, once again we’re packing festive hampers of food to help people who are isolated, struggling with finances, facing job uncertainty, as well as bereavement, addiction and homelessness.
We’re sending out these delicious hampers to individuals, couples and families who, at this Christmas time, need to know they’re not alone, and are loved and supported in what has been a tough year in so many ways.
We regularly receive calls for help and support within challenging situations, and this is a practical way to make a difference and show kindness and hope.
Some feedback from recipients of Hampers in previous years:
“I’d like to say a thank you for the generous food hamper for my family… we have had a tough few years and this made us realise there are lovely, caring people in this world, and you have made our Christmas merrier!”
“I am lost for words of your generosity. These will support so many young men who are homeless in Exeter”
One year, we also supported a family who tragically lost their father and was a single mum with 4 children facing the daunting task of a difficult Christmas. They were so thankful for the hamper.
To help us identify those who would benefit from a hamper, we’re working with key partners and charities across Devon, including: YMCA Exeter (vulnerable young people), Julian House (working with the homeless), Young Carers (across Devon), CoLab Project (working with individuals in challenging situations), FearFree (working with victims of domestic violence), Home Start (supporting families who are struggling), Devon Refugee Network, ECFC Trust (diverse and underrepresented communities), Food Hub (those on low income), struggling families in at least 9 primary and secondary schools in the area, GP surgeries, and many others, including direct requests from recipients.
