FINANCE OFFICER

Rediscover Church is seeking an experienced finance Officer who can oversee all financial activity including new Church Plants, Coffee Shop and Church Planting Academy.

The role will support and oversee a range of financial and administrative responsibilities. This includes managing VAT returns, payroll submissions, and Gift Aid claims, as well as paying invoices and maintaining accurate records in line with HMRC and Elim requirements. The person will act as the local Finance Officer, produce regular financial reports for leadership and Elim HQ, monitor departmental budgets, prepare for financial year-end and audits, and maintain the Asset Register. Additional admin tasks, such as HR documentation and employment contracts, may also be required.

The number of hours for this role can potentially be increased, in discussion with the individual, and other skills and responsibilities they can bring to the team.

CARETAKER

We are looking to appoint a part-time Caretaker to support the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of our church building at Pop Up Church, Haven Banks. This role includes core cleaning duties such as hoovering, sanitising toilets, tidying rooms, and restocking supplies, as well as light maintenance tasks like painting, minor repairs, and renewing fixtures. Some hours will be fixed on key days, while others will be scheduled flexibly to support church events. The couple will also play a key role in building and coordinating a volunteer team to assist with these responsibilities across the week.

We are offering the role as 12 hours per week, but potentially can be increased with the right candidate and the skills they can bring to the position.
